This past weekend’s game could be a turning point for the US MNT. Could be.
It was just another another game against a lesser concacaf opponent. But it did set the stage for a new generation of American soccer players to lay their claim to the national team. Now will they? They could.
Two games to close out the year. Two games to show up.
Sometimes it seems like Steve Goff is the only soccer reporter in the country. Game reports. Cuban Defector interview. Then again, the game was in DC. No competition here, so as the trend as been, pictures will stand in for any words.
My first trip to RFK. not as bad as Giants Stadium, but pretty close.

those who came were loud and boisterous. more banners and signs than I have ever seen at a game.

Stadium needs to be blown up, but it can look beautiful. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

The game was a blast, more so because of the amazing soccer fans in DC. La Barra Brava singing in Spanish for the US. Wow. Really nice touch. RFK may not be pretty, but there aren’t any places in this country that has a better atmosphere.
