home is where the heart is
If this was a baseball story, I might be a little more cynical about the player-shopping inspiration behind Red Bull’s recent trip to Haiti, but after reading Kristian Dyer’s piece for Soccernet, I won’t make those claims. Instead, I will call attention to the fact this story further confirms the theory that soccer players, great soccer players, come from many backgrounds, free from the stereotypes often found in other professional sports. Sure, we have the mini-van soccer moms, but more and more, her kid is getting his butt kicked from someone who walked to practice. I am a firm believer that will power and dedication can win out over pure talent, and when that will is good will, as it is in this article, well, all the merrier it should make us.

bringing in some new blood will be nice. It’s almost like a whole new team.

can we seriously go a game without donovan? i like him, but seriously he played horrible in the world cup. just one game, to tell him hes not an untouchable, even though he probably will be under bradley’s reign…and maybe queiroz’s too, by what some rumors are saying. personally i think they should go for pekerman in the summer.

agreed. Landon needs help. All the stuff i’ve read in the last six months makes me sick. he doesn’t seem to care at all, or at least it doesn’t show on an international field.

say what you will, we have no better than Landon. Ricardo Clark might be the closest in the midfield, where i see Landon playing. striker might be a little more wide open.

What the national team needs is to go and look at all the americans in Europe like Jay Demerit, Michael Bradley(strangely enough Bob Bradleys son)ETC. Looking at a bunch of MLS players is a waste of time. And by the way Adu should not go to united at first , he should go to Ajax or Psv and then take the further step to united.
