On Saturday morning between the hours of 11 and Noon EST, check out Kick This, The Soccer Talk Show. As if you needed another reason to absorb some soccer talk, I’ll be joining sportswriter Jeff DiVeronica, producer Rich Jones, and news director “Jim Bob” Weise on WHTK Hot Talk 1280 in Rochester NY. We’ll chat about what else, American Soccer. You can call in to ask questions and share your opinions too: 585-222-1280. Kick This rules. I discovered it when I was chasing the rumor that the Rochester ownership was going to expand to Cary and have kept listening ever since.

interesting show. I think a solid #4 on that list would be to get an MLS team in the southeast, and atlanta with its enormous hispanic population as well a fairly good area for the sport (i.e. clint mathis and wolff) might be a perfect place for it. can’t say I agree with you about Dempsey. he has been good but I thought he looked awful in Germany even in spite of his goal. it was very lucky.

Atlanta has serious potential as they have a relatively deep pocketed owner who is building a nice SSS for the Silverbacks.
And those are the two things that MLS cares about: a rich owner and a SSS that the owner controls.
The big issue with Atlanta is that it isn’t that great of a sports town.
And an MLS team would be competing head to head with the Braves in the summer.
